if you really think human is soooo much better then you would play human, but you cant Playing fast expo with mass towers requires more micro, it is more difficult to maintain a high level hero when your constantly defending. On lost temple, HU won 64%, same logic as terranas stand, On terranas stand, HU wins 60%, basically the spawns are so far apart, HU can expand uncontested almost. This statistics might be skewed though, because close spawn TR is a much different game than opposite spawn TR. In turtle rock on the other hand, where it is harder to fast expand, or militia creep, UD wins 58%. That is not trivial at all if the game were balance. On maps like twisted meadows, which is a map where it is easy to fast expand, the HU vs UD mu favors the HU 58%. The thing is 1 base HU can never beat 1 base UD UD is way more cost effective and does not require nearly as much tech to produce a powerful army, so every top HU player will either fast expand, or tier 2 expand. The UD needs to understand timing very well, like when the HU is vulnerable so you can pick off a few peasants, when to back off and creep a bit so, and when to go for the killing blow with tri hero/orb/upgraded fiends/statues/meat wagon.
